Seonghwa

Seonghwa, born Park Seong-hwa on April 3, 1998, in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, is a vocalist, rapper, performer, and the oldest member of the eight-member K-pop group ATEEZ, formed under KQ Entertainment. Known among fans and the group’s own members as the “mom” of ATEEZ, Seonghwa has built a reputation for his warm, caring nature, his tidy and disciplined habits, and his striking visuals that have earned him numerous “world’s most handsome” recognitions internationally.

Seonghwa joined KQ Entertainment as a trainee and was the fifth member to sign with the company, ultimately debuting with ATEEZ on October 24, 2018, through the mini album Treasure EP.1: All to Zero and its lead single “Pirate King.” Although he initially auditioned as a rapper, the company redirected him toward vocals, and he has since become known for his smooth, emotive tone while still occasionally showcasing his rap skills in select tracks.

Beyond music, Seonghwa expanded into acting in 2021, making his drama debut in the KBS webtoon adaptation Imitation alongside fellow members Yunho, San, and Jongho, where he played Seyoung, a member of the fictional idol group SPARKLING. He is also actively involved in ATEEZ’s creative direction, contributing ideas to choreography, styling, and stage concepts.

Off stage, Seonghwa is known for his love of cleaning, building action figures, watching dramas, and playing video games. Fans and members alike often note his caring, detail-oriented personality, which has made him one of the emotional anchors of ATEEZ as the group continues to grow into one of the most successful “fourth-generation” K-pop acts on the global stage.
