Jongho is the main vocalist and maknae (youngest member) of the South Korean boy group ATEEZ, celebrated across the K-pop world for his powerhouse vocals and stunning high notes. Early Life and Trainee Years

Jongho was originally a trainee at TOP Media before moving to KQ Entertainment, where he became one of the earliest members of the pre-debut unit “KQ Fellaz.” In 2017, he competed on the JTBC survival program MIXNINE, ranking an impressive 43rd overall. Even as a teenager, his vocal coach reportedly named him one of the most talented students he’d ever trained — high praise that hinted at the star he would become.

Debut with ATEEZ

Jongho debuted with ATEEZ on October 24, 2018, alongside Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, and Wooyoung, through the mini album Treasure EP.1: All to Zero. As the group’s main vocalist, he quickly became known for his explosive high notes and remarkably stable live singing — a rare feat even among trained idols.

Career Highlights

Alongside ATEEZ’s chart-topping Treasure, Zero: Fever, The World, and Golden Hour eras, Jongho has built an impressive solo résumé. He made his acting debut in the 2021 drama Imitation, released numerous OST covers under the project “JJongST,” and contributed original soundtracks to shows like Reborn Rich and Lovely Runner. He wrote and released his first solo song, “Everything,” on ATEEZ’s 2023 album The World EP.Fin: Will, followed by the emotional ballad “To Be Your Light” in 2025. In 2023, he underwent surgery for a meniscus injury, temporarily stepping back from choreography-heavy performances before making a full return.
