Born Cho Mi-yeon on January 31, 1997, in Incheon, South Korea, Miyeon grew up as an only child in a household where music mattered. She first became a trainee at YG Entertainment, joining around the same time as BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and she was even part of the group’s original planned lineup before she left the company in 2015. Debut and Rise With (G)I-DLE
