Who Is Sooin?

Born Kim Soo-in on April 12, 2005, Sooin grew up in Daejeon before moving to Daegu as a toddler, where she spent most of her childhood. She later relocated to Seoul during her first year of middle school to chase her dream of becoming an idol. Long before joining MEOVV, she already had years of trainee experience: she started training at another entertainment company in 2019, then joined THEBLACKLABEL in 2022 to continue polishing her craft.

Sooin attended the prestigious School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), a well-known training ground for many K-pop idols, where she spent roughly six years honing her artistry. She was officially revealed as the third member of MEOVV on August 25, 2024, quickly catching attention online for her striking visuals and dance skills — some fans even nicknamed her “The Bang Girl” after leaked pre-debut photos went viral.

Debut with MEOVV

Sooin debuted alongside Ella, Gawon, Anna, and Narin on September 6, 2024, with MEOVV’s first digital single “MEOW.” Since then, she’s promoted through the group’s growing discography — including “TOXIC,” “HANDS UP,” the debut EP My Eyes Open VVide, and MEOVV’s Japanese single “ME ME ME.” As the group’s main dancer, Sooin’s crisp, powerful choreography has become one of MEOVV’s signature strengths on stage.
