Who Is Gawon?

Born Lee Ga-won — also known by her English name Chloe Lee — on April 27, 2005, Gawon holds Korean-American nationality. She was born in Ohio before her family moved to Edgewater, New Jersey, and later relocated to South Korea while she was still in elementary school. That cross-cultural upbringing gives her a distinctly international perspective within the group.

Before joining MEOVV, Gawon trained for roughly five years as a YG Entertainment trainee, where she trained alongside artists who would go on to debut in groups like BABYMONSTER. She also worked as a model, appearing in campaigns for brands such as Adidas. She transferred to THEBLACKLABEL around 2021 and was revealed as the second member of MEOVV on August 23, 2024, immediately drawing attention online for her tall stature and model-like proportions.

Debut and Career with MEOVV

Gawon officially debuted with MEOVV on September 6, 2024, alongside Ella, Sooin, Anna, and Narin, through the group’s first digital single “MEOW.” She has since promoted through “TOXIC” — which she co-wrote with fellow member Narin — as well as “HANDS UP,” the debut EP My Eyes Open VVide, and MEOVV’s growing catalog of releases. Off stage, Gawon enjoys reading, pilates, and collecting vinyl records. She’s currently studying Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish, on top of being fluent in Korean and English.
