Leo

Leo (born Leo Lee) is a Korean-Australian singer-songwriter and the Leader of the multinational project boy group ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1) under WAKEONE Entertainment. Born on August 22, 2002, and raised in Sydney, Australia, Leo brings a unique international perspective to the group as one of its non-Korean-born members.

Leo’s path to ALPHA DRIVE ONE was anything but a straight line. He trained under BigHit Music from 2020 to 2022 and was part of the label’s pre-debut group Trainee A, which ultimately disbanded before it could debut. Rather than wait, Leo pursued a solo career, debuting on August 17, 2023, with the digital single “One Look” under 131 LABEL. He also competed on the rap survival show RAP:PUBLIC in 2024, continuing to sharpen his artistry across multiple formats.

In 2025, Leo joined the cast of Mnet’s Boys II Planet, ranking 6th overall in the finale with 4,147,134 votes and earning a spot in the newly formed ALPHA DRIVE ONE — where he was subsequently confirmed as the group’s leader. He officially debuted with the mini album Euphoria on January 12, 2026. Leo also continues to promote in the duo LEO & SANGWON alongside fellow ALD1 member Sangwon.

Fans know Leo — nicknamed LEOZ by his personal fanbase — for his calm, thoughtful leadership style, his love of movies (Joker is a personal favorite) and dessert cafes, and his early exposure to music through a musically inclined family. He previously appeared in BTS’s music video for “Permission to Dance.” As ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s leader, Leo has represented the group at major ceremonies, including their Rookie of the Year and Bonsang wins at the 35th Seoul Music Awards, and led the team through its historic sweep of South Korea’s three terrestrial music shows with the debut title track, “Freak Alarm.”
