Who Is Junho?

Junho, born Lee Jun-ho on January 25, 1990, in Seoul, South Korea, is a singer, songwriter, and actor best known as the Main Vocalist and Lead Dancer of the K-pop group 2PM. He is widely regarded as one of the rare idols who has achieved equal success as both a top-tier singer and a leading actor in Korean television.

From Superstar Survival to 2PM

Junho’s journey began in 2006, when he won JYP Entertainment’s nationwide “Superstar Survival” competition among roughly 6,000 hopefuls, earning his spot as a JYP trainee. He later joined Mnet’s “Hot Blood Men,” the program that ultimately shaped the lineup of 2PM, and debuted with the group on September 4, 2008.

A Dual Career in Music and Acting

While continuing to promote with 2PM, Junho built a celebrated solo music career in both Korea and Japan, notably self-producing his 2013 Japanese debut EP “Kimi no Koe.” That same year, he also broke into film with “Cold Eyes,” launching an acting career that would include hit dramas such as “Good Manager,” “Wok of Love,” “The Red Sleeve,” and “King the Land.” His performance as Crown Prince Yi San in “The Red Sleeve” earned him widespread critical acclaim and cemented his reputation as a serious dramatic actor.

Life With 2PM

Despite his individual accomplishments, Junho remains deeply committed to 2PM, continuing to write and perform music with the group and reuniting for tours and releases.
