Biography
Zhou Jieqiong (born December 16, 1998, in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China), formerly promoted in Korea under the name Kyulkyung, is a Chinese singer, dancer, and actress. She trained for over five years under Pledis Entertainment in South Korea before appearing on Mnet’s Produce 101 in 2016, where she ranked 6th overall and earned a spot in the project girl group I.O.I, debuting on May 4, 2016 with the EP “Chrysalis.”
Following I.O.I’s disbandment, Zhou returned to Pledis Entertainment and debuted as a member of the 10-member girl group PRISTIN on March 21, 2017, with the mini album “Hi! PRISTIN.” She was also part of the group’s sub-unit, PRISTIN V. PRISTIN disbanded in May 2019, but Zhou — along with members Yehana and Sungyeon — remained with Pledis Entertainment.
In September 2018, Zhou made her solo debut in China with the digital single “Why,” establishing her own management label, Zhou Jieqiong Studio. Following a contract dispute with Pledis Entertainment and her Chinese agency XCSS in 2019–2020, she transitioned fully into an independent, China-based solo career, focusing primarily on acting.
Since 2020, Zhou has built a prolific acting résumé in Chinese television, starring in the historical mystery drama “Miss Truth” (2020), the acclaimed wuxia series “Legend of Fei” (2020) opposite Wang Yibo, “To Be With You” (2021), and “Be My Princess” (2022), among numerous other film and drama roles through 2025.
Although nine of the eleven original I.O.I members reunited for the group’s 10th-anniversary comeback “I.O.I: LOOP” in May 2026, Zhou Jieqiong was unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts with her acting career in China, though she has expressed her continued affection for her former groupmates.
