Haebin, born Han Hae-bin (한해빈) on August 16, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, is a South Korean singer best known as the Main Vocalist of the K-pop girl group Gugudan under Jellyfish Entertainment. Long before most fans knew her name, Haebin was already grinding as a trainee — and that early dedication shows in the vocal power she brought to the group for four years.

Early Life and Long Road as a Trainee

Haebin’s path to debut was a long one: she became a Jellyfish Entertainment trainee back in 2009, roughly seven years before Gugudan finally debuted. Growing up in Busan, she carried her hometown’s distinct accent into her idol career, something fans still find endearing today. She graduated from Daemyung Girls’ High School before being revealed as one of Gugudan’s members in June 2016.

Gugudan Career as Main Vocalist

She debuted with Gugudan on June 28, 2016, taking on the role of Main Vocalist and representing the group’s number 6. Life After Gugudan: Solo Music and Reunion with Hana

Unlike several of her groupmates, Haebin has stayed closely connected to music since Gugudan disbanded on December 31, 2020. She made her solo debut on August 16, 2021 — fittingly, her own birthday — with the digital single “Float,” stepping into life as an independent singer-songwriter. In March 2023, she reunited with former Gugudan leader Hana (by then performing as Shin Yeon-suh) for the nostalgic duet “Color,” delighting longtime fans of the group known as Danjjak.

Haebin holds blood type B and was born under the Leo zodiac sign. Known within Gugudan as the group’s caring “mother figure,” she has one older sister and practices Buddhism.
