EPEX's A-Min — real name Cho Min-woo — is a South Korean vocalist and main dancer who has been lighting up stages since the group's debut in June 2021. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he was the third member officially revealed ahead of EPEX's launch under C9 Entertainment. Known for his acrobatic dance skills, his big expressive eyes, and an angelic smile that wins over fans everywhere, A-Min brings a warm, youthful energy to everything he does. His stage name is a playful nod to his birth name — literally meaning "baby Minwoo" — and that sweetness carries into his personality on and off stage.
Story

Biography

Cho Min-woo was born on May 22, 2004, in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up with his parents, an older brother, and a younger sister in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do. From a young age, he showed a natural affinity for performance — he was popular at school for his cute looks and had even attended an acting agency at one point, giving him an early taste of the entertainment world.

He completed his education at Namyangju Shinchon Elementary School, Jangnae Middle School, and Pyeongnae High School, all while training to become an idol. His audition piece was Wanna One’s “Burn It Up,” which showcased both his dancing ability and his passion for performance. A specialty in acrobatics set him apart from other trainees and remains one of the most crowd-pleasing parts of EPEX’s live performances.

On March 4, 2021, C9 Entertainment officially revealed A-Min as the third member of EPEX (then still operating under the pre-debut name C9ROOKIES). His profile video dropped the same day, and fans immediately took notice of his charming presence. He made his official group debut on June 8, 2021, with EPEX’s first EP, BIPOLAR Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety.

Since debut, A-Min has been a central figure in EPEX’s performances, praised for his clean technique, energetic stage presence, and ability to connect emotionally through dance. His role model is Jimin of BTS — an influence that’s clear in the way he blends sharp technique with expressive artistry.

Over the years, A-Min and EPEX have grown steadily — releasing multiple EPs and full-length albums, embarking on international tours across Asia, and building a passionate global fandom called ZENITH. As of 2026, the group continues its journey as a 7-member act following Keum’s departure in November 2025, and A-Min remains a beloved and essential part of the lineup.

Trivia & Fun Facts ✨

A-Min's stage name literally means "baby Minwoo" (아기 민우 / agi Minwoo) — a cute nod to his birth name Cho Min-woo.
His members gave him the nickname 조참새 (Jochamsae), meaning "Jo Quail," because he looks like a quail and sometimes talks in a way that sounds like chirping.
He was revealed as the 3rd member of EPEX during the pre-debut member reveal period in March 2021.
His audition song for C9 Entertainment was Wanna One's "Burn It Up."
A-Min's role model is Jimin of BTS — he's cited the BTS star as a major artistic influence.
His favorite member within EPEX is Baekseung, and the two share a dorm room together.
He once attended an acting agency, hinting at possible acting ambitions even before becoming a singer.
A specialty of his is acrobatics, which often wows audiences during live performances.
He is popular at school for his cute appearance — even his classmates took notice before he became a K-pop idol.
His favorite ice cream flavor is Rainbow Sherbet — he brought this up during the Welcome 2 House pre-debut content.
A-Min's charming points are consistently described as his big eyes and his angelic, warm smile.
He grew up in a family of four with his parents, an older brother, and a younger sister.
His elementary school was Namyangju Shinchon Elementary School, revealing his connection to the Gyeonggi-do region.
He has a habit of holding his members' arms — he was spotted doing this frequently, especially with Wish, during the EPEX Debut Show.
A-Min's MBTI is INFJ — one of the rarest personality types, known for being empathetic, idealistic, and quietly determined.
He is listed under the Gemini zodiac sign, born on May 22, 2004.
Despite his sweet appearance, he's been known to have strong acrobatic moves that contrast with his gentle image.
He would choose to be stuck with Baekseung for 24 hours over Ayden — the reason being that Baekseung just sleeps and talks Japanese in his sleep, which A-Min finds amusing.
A-Min's blood type is O, a common blood type often associated with outgoing and adaptable personalities in Korean popular culture.
His stage presence has been compared to a "visual hole" — someone you can't take your eyes off of during group performances.
He attended Pyeongnae High School in Namyangju, balancing idol training and schoolwork.
In the dorm, he shares a room with Baekseung, his self-described favorite EPEX member.
He once revealed his biggest charming points during fan content as his eyes and smile — which fans absolutely agree with.
A-Min was not a contestant on any survival show, unlike some of his groupmates — he came straight through C9 Entertainment's training system.
As of June 2026, A-Min is 22 years old and continues to grow as a performer with each EPEX release.
