0WAVE

0WAVE is a South Korean hip-hop and R&B artist collective born from the creative vision of VIIN (Ha Yoon-bin), a former YG Entertainment trainee who appeared in the survival show YG Treasure Box (2018–2019) as a pre-debut member of TREASURE13 and its unit MAGNUM. After parting ways with YG, Yoon-bin connected with rising indie R&B artist Colde, who had established his own independent record label, PYRAT (파이렛), in Seoul, South Korea in 2022.

Together, VIIN and Colde assembled a five-member creative unit, bringing in vocalist-rapper MODS (Kim Se-hoon), vocalist wooseojun (Woo Seo-jun), Korean-American vocalist yukon (Yoo Kang-hyun, born in Pullman, Washington), and the youngest member, rapper-vocalist Aiboy (Lee Seung-yoon). Each member brought a distinct personality and musical background – yukon, for example, was inspired to take his stage name from a Joji song called “YUKON,” while Aiboy’s name fuses the Japanese word for “love” (愛) with the English word “boy.”

The crew officially debuted on December 14, 2022 with the EP off the wall, immediately establishing a sound rooted in smooth alternative hip-hop, confessional R&B, and mood-driven storytelling. Their music draws comparisons to the understated intimacy of bedroom pop and the rhythmic flow of modern Korean underground hip-hop.

Over the next few years, 0WAVE released music at a steady pace – seven EPs and six singles between 2022 and 2026 – building a loyal underground fanbase known as 0Love. Key releases include the EPs balaclava (2023), insatiable <3 (2023), snooze (2023), ITULT (2023), noon (2025), and Corny Plots (2025), as well as 2026 singles u and love me like i do.

VIIN also pursued a solo career, debuting as a solo artist in January 2023 with the EP THE CAR, and participating in the rap competition show RAP:PUBLIC, as did member yukon. MODS is recognized within the crew as the strongest dancer, while wooseojun brings a softer vocal texture and plays guitar. Aiboy, despite being the youngest, stands out for having the deepest voice in the group.

0WAVE continues to operate as a tight-knit creative collective under PYRAT, staying true to their indie roots while steadily growing their audience both domestically and internationally.
