Eunseok

Eunseok is the visual and sub-vocalist of SM Entertainment’s boy group RIIZE, celebrated for his calm charisma, refined stage presence, and the longest trainee journey of any member in the group. If there’s one word BRIIZE fans use most to describe Eunseok, it’s “elegant” — and that quality has followed him from his earliest days on the streets of Seoul to the international stages he performs on today.

Born Song Eun-seok on March 19, 2001, Eunseok grew up in Seoul, first in Oryu-dong and later in Guui-dong, Gwangjin District. Interestingly, he had little interest in becoming an idol until his third year of middle school. SM Entertainment’s casting team actually approached him four separate times — on the subway, outside his school, and near his house — but he turned them down every time because they wouldn’t reveal the company’s name. He finally accepted after being scouted once more in Cheongdam-dong, and auditioned by singing EXO’s “Growl.”

What followed was an unusually long six-year trainee period, the longest of any RIIZE member, during which he studied dance, rap, vocals, acting, and even foreign languages under SM’s training system. On July 2, 2022, he was revealed as a member of the trainee unit SM Rookies alongside Shotaro and Seunghan, and later appeared in the reality series “Welcome to NCT Universe.” When RIIZE was officially announced in 2023, Eunseok graduated from SM Rookies to become one of its founding members, debuting on September 4, 2023, with “Get A Guitar.”

Within RIIZE, Eunseok is billed as the group’s visual, but he’s far more than a pretty face — he handles sub-vocal and sub-rap duties, often taking the lower-register parts on tracks like “Talk Saxy” and “Bag Bad Back.” He’s also known as one of the group’s best dancers, frequently leading isolation-heavy choreography and dance challenge videos. His nickname, “Silver Stone,” comes directly from the meaning of his given name, and his representative emoji nods to the Korean word “seok” (stone).

Off camera, Eunseok holds a black belt in taekwondo, loves cooking and creamy pasta, and has said his ultimate goal is simply “to be happy.” He hopes to build an acting career alongside music one day — a dream he’s already begun exploring by voicing a character in the Korean dub of “Trolls Band Together.” As RIIZE has grown from “Get A Guitar” to full-length releases like “ODYSSEY,” Eunseok’s blend of quiet discipline and effortless style continues to make him a fan favorite within BRIIZE.
