Han, born Han Ji-sung on September 14, 2000, in Incheon, South Korea, is the main rapper, vocalist, and producer of Stray Kids under JYP Entertainment. Known internationally as Peter Han, he is one of three members of 3RACHA, the group's acclaimed self-production unit alongside Bang Chan and Changbin, which has crafted the sound behind nearly all of Stray Kids' releases since their pre-debut days on SoundCloud. Han officially debuted with Stray Kids on March 25, 2018, through the EP "I Am Not," and has since become one of the most credited songwriters in K-pop, with close to 200 songs registered under the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). In February 2023, he became one of the youngest K-pop idols ever to reach full KOMCA membership. Fans know Han for his rapid, dynamic rap delivery, his surprisingly tender vocal tone on emotional solo tracks like "Volcano" and "Hold My Hand," and his warm, talkative personality that shines through hours-long conversations with STAY on the Bubble app. Standing 169 cm tall with an ISFP personality, Han balances a playful, comedic side with a serious dedication to music production, regularly contributing lyrics and beats not only to Stray Kids but also to other JYP and partner artists. Whether delivering explosive verses on title tracks like "S-Class" and "MANIAC," or baring his soul on SKZ-Record solo releases, Han represents the beating creative heart of Stray Kids — an all-rounder rapper, vocalist, and producer whose influence stretches across the group's entire catalog.
Story

Biography

Who Is Han of Stray Kids?

Han (한지성, Han Ji-sung), known globally by his English name Peter Han, is the main rapper, vocalist, and producer of Stray Kids, the eight-member South Korean boy group signed to JYP Entertainment. Born September 14, 2000, in Incheon, South Korea, Han is one-third of the group’s acclaimed in-house production unit 3RACHA, alongside Bang Chan and Changbin, and is widely regarded by fans and critics as Stray Kids’ creative “Ace.”

Building 3RACHA Before Debut

Long before Stray Kids existed, teenage Han — trainee stage name “J.ONE” — teamed up with fellow trainees Bang Chan and Changbin to form the hip-hop unit 3RACHA, self-releasing tracks on SoundCloud. That early foundation carried directly into Stray Kids’ 2017 survival show and the group’s official debut on March 25, 2018, with the EP I Am Not and title track “District 9.”

One of K-Pop’s Most Prolific Songwriters

Han has become one of the most credited songwriters of his generation, amassing nearly 200 KOMCA-registered songs. In February 2023, alongside Bang Chan and Changbin, he became one of the youngest K-pop idols ever to earn full KOMCA membership. His deeply personal solo works — including “Volcano,” “Miserable (You & Me),” and “Hold My Hand” — showcase a songwriting voice that fans praise for its raw emotional honesty, while his production credits stretch across Stray Kids’ entire discography and even extend to Japanese boy group NEXZ and OSTs for television dramas like Typhoon Family and Yumi’s Cells.

Energetic, Witty, and Endlessly Creative

On stage, Han is known for his rapid-fire flow and expressive vocal tone; off stage, he’s celebrated for his playful, high-energy personality and close bond with STAY through the Bubble messaging platform, where he holds famously long, heartfelt conversations with fans. Whether producing tracks late into the night or cracking jokes during variety segments, Han embodies the creative engine that keeps Stray Kids’ self-produced sound running.

As 3RACHA‘s youngest full KOMCA member and one of Stray Kids’ most dynamic performers, Han continues to shape the group’s musical identity as a rapper, vocalist, and producer at the heart of K-pop’s fourth generation.
