Who Is Kazuha of LE SSERAFIM?

Kazuha is a Japanese rapper, vocalist, and dancer, and the fifth member of the HYBE girl group LE SSERAFIM. Born Nakamura Kazuha on August 9, 2003, in Kochi, Japan, she spent her childhood in Osaka before an unusual path through classical ballet led her to K-pop. Fans and critics alike often call her “LE SSERAFIM’s Swan,” a nickname that nods to her years of formal ballet training and the graceful, elongated lines she brings to the group’s choreography.

From Ballet Prodigy to K-Pop Idol

Long before she was a trainee, Kazuha was already a decorated ballerina. She began dancing at age three, studied at some of the most respected academies in the world — including Japan’s Hashimoto Sachiyo Ballet School, the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, and the Royal Ballet School in London — and eventually enrolled at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam. It was there, in 2021, that she auditioned online for Source Music with a cover of BTS’s “Dynamite.” HYBE’s Bang Si-hyuk personally traveled to the Netherlands to meet her, and after a short but intense training period, she was revealed as LE SSERAFIM’s fifth member on April 8, 2022.

Debut and Rise with LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM debuted on May 2, 2022, with the mini album FEARLESS, and Kazuha’s fancams quickly went viral for her distinctive, ballet-inflected dance style. As the group’s sub-vocalist, rapper, and dancer, she has been part of every era since, from the record-breaking ANTIFRAGILE to the group’s first studio album UNFORGIVEN, which entered the Billboard 200, through EASY, CRAZY, HOT, and the group’s 2026 sophomore full-length, PUREFLOW, Pt. 1.

Beyond performing, Kazuha has grown into a songwriter, earning a lyricist credit on “Fearnot (Between You, Me, and the Lamppost)” and helping shape the introductory choreography for “Swan Song” during LE SSERAFIM’s EASY CRAZY HOT World Tour. In December 2025, she stepped into the spotlight solo, delivering a striking cover of Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You” at the KBS Song Festival.
