Who Is Mayu of tripleS?
Mayu, born Kōma Mayu on May 12, 2002, in Gunma, Japan, is one of the Japanese members of tripleS, the 24-member MODHAUS girl group built around fan participation and rotating sub-units. Revealed as tripleS’s sixteenth member (S16) on July 19, 2023, Mayu brought a distinct cross-cultural energy to the group, having trained at Japan’s Bloom Academy while balancing university studies in economics at Meiji University.
From EVOLution to Leading Hatchi
Mayu made her music debut on October 11, 2023, as a member of the sub-unit EVOLution, released through the EP ⬡ (Mujuk). She then joined the completed 24-member tripleS line-up for the group’s first studio album, Assemble24, on May 8, 2024. Later that year, Mayu stepped into a leadership role as the head of ∞! (Hatchi), tripleS’s first Japanese sub-unit, debuting with the single album Untitled in November 2024 and returning with the mini album SecretHimitsuBimil in October 2025.
Sun Sub-unit and Beyond
