Riwoo

Riwoo is the main dancer of the South Korean boy group BOYNEXTDOOR, formed under KOZ Entertainment. Born Lee Sang Hyeok on October 22, 2003, in Beon-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, Riwoo joined KOZ Entertainment about a month after Sungho, becoming the label’s second trainee before eventually debuting with the group’s full six-member lineup. He trained at the renowned Def Dance Skool and studied at Hanlim Multi Art School, building the sharp, controlled movement style that now defines his stage presence.

Riwoo debuted with BOYNEXTDOOR on May 30, 2023, through the single album WHO!, and has since showcased his dancing across every era of the group’s discography, from WHY.. and HOW? to 19.99, No Genre, and The Action. As main dancer, he is praised for his precise popping and arm-wave technique, and he frequently contributes to the group’s choreography. Alongside his dance skills, Riwoo has also earned recognition for his smooth, understated vocal tone, which continues to grow with every comeback.

Off stage, Riwoo carries a cool, quiet image that quickly melts away once fans get to know him — he is famously easy-going, loves listening to music, and is known within BOYNEXTDOOR as the group’s biggest eater. He owns two beloved dogs, Daebak and Jjangi, and often unwinds by watching Crayon Shin-chan. Members affectionately call him “Our Riwoo,” while his own unit nickname, “Heavy Rain Watch,” pairs him with fellow member Sungho. Fans love the contrast between his composed, cool stage persona and his surprisingly playful, dad-joke-loving personality off camera.
