Who Is SinB?

SinB, born Hwang Eun-bi on June 3, 1998, in Cheongju, South Korea, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actress best known as the main dancer, vocalist, and center of the girl group GFriend. Celebrated for her powerful stage presence and sharp choreography, SinB became one of the group’s most recognizable faces and later continued her career as a member of the trio VIVIZ.

Early Life and Trainee Days

Born in Cheongju and raised with an older brother, SinB was a former child model who appeared in the Korean children’s show “The Fairies in My Arms.” She trained for five years under Big Hit Entertainment before eventually joining Source Music, where she became known for her striking dance skills. She graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul in February 2017 alongside fellow member Umji.

Debut with GFriend

SinB debuted with GFriend on January 15, 2015, with the mini album Season of Glass. Her sharp, precise choreography and magnetic center presence made her a standout during the group’s biggest hits, including “Rough,” “Navillera,” “Love Whisper,” and “Fingertip.” She frequently served as the group’s center during live performances and music videos, and became known among fans as one of the strongest all-around performers of her generation.

Life After GFriend: VIVIZ

Following GFriend’s hiatus in May 2021, SinB signed with BPM Entertainment on October 6, 2021, alongside members Eunha and Umji, forming the trio VIVIZ — a name derived from “Vivid DayZ.” The group debuted on February 9, 2022, with the mini album Beam of Prism and has since released a string of well-received EPs including Summer Vibe, VarioUS, VERSUS, and VOYAGE, culminating in their first full-length studio album, A Montage of ( ), in July 2025. As VIVIZ, SinB continued to shine as the group’s main dancer and vocalist.

Legacy

SinB reunited with all five GFriend members for the group’s emotional 10th-anniversary comeback in January 2025, and continues to build her career with VIVIZ, where her dynamic performances and dedication to her craft remain a defining part of her artistry.
