Who Is Hong Eunchae of LE SSERAFIM?

Hong Eunchae, often known simply as Eunchae or by her English name Eve, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and the maknae (youngest member) of HYBE’s girl group LE SSERAFIM. Born on November 10, 2006, in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province, she joined Source Music as a trainee in January 2021 and made her idol debut just over a year later, becoming one of the youngest faces in HYBE’s roster of artists.

Trainee Days and Debut

Before joining Source Music, Eunchae auditioned for several major labels, including JYP Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment, and spent two years studying at Def Dance School. She was ultimately scouted through a dance-academy audition and revealed as the third member of the then-unnamed girl group on April 6, 2022. LE SSERAFIM debuted on May 2, 2022, with the mini album FEARLESS, and Eunchae’s youthful energy as the group’s vocalist, lead dancer, and maknae quickly made her a fan favorite.

Broadcasting Career and Growth

Beyond music, Eunchae built a distinct media presence of her own. From February 2023 to September 2024, she co-hosted KBS2’s long-running music show Music Bank, and went on to host her own web variety segment, Eunchae’s Star Diary, interviewing fellow K-pop idols. Her work on Music Bank earned her recognition at the 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards, including a Best Couple prize alongside co-host Lee Chae-min.

As a member of LE SSERAFIM, she has promoted every era of the group’s growing discography — from ANTIFRAGILE and the chart-topping debut album UNFORGIVEN, through the EASY, CRAZY, and HOT mini-album trilogy, to the group’s 2026 sophomore full-length, PUREFLOW, Pt. 1. She has also picked up songwriting credits on several LE SSERAFIM tracks, contributing to lyrics for songs including “Fearnot (Between You, Me, and the Lamppost).”

Known for her warm, expressive personality and playful humor, Hong Eunchae has become one of LE SSERAFIM’s most relatable members to FEARNOT, the group’s official fandom. Her representative color is red, and she’s frequently praised in interviews for her candor — once telling Weverse Magazine she wants fans to see her as “a confident and courageous person.” Off stage, she’s an avid YouTube watcher who enjoys online shopping and spending time with her groupmates, particularly close friend Kazuha.
