Who Is Anxin?

Anxin (안신), born Zhou Anxin (周安信), is a Chinese singer, rapper, and actor best known as the Visual member of the eight-member global project boy group ALPHA DRIVE ONE (also known as ALD1), formed under WAKEONE Entertainment. Born on December 25, 2006, in Shanghai, China, Anxin grew up as a working child performer before reinventing himself as a K-pop idol, and today he stands out in ALD1 as one of the group’s sharpest visuals and most versatile vocal-rap hybrids.

Early Life and Child Acting Career

Long before fans knew him as an idol trainee, Anxin was already familiar with cameras. He started working in the entertainment industry back in 2015, landing a role as a child actor in the Chinese film “Bloody Destiny” and later appearing in the drama “Love in the Front” and the show “Master Class.” That early exposure gave him a natural comfort on stage that would later serve him well during his idol survival show journey.

Trainee Days and Survival Show Journey

Anxin trained under Nouer Entertainment and its Chinese partner label CHROMOSOME, where he is also part of the pre-debut trainee unit Chromosome Seeds. His first real shot at debut came through Mnet’s “MAKE MATE 1” in 2024, where he made it all the way to the finale before narrowly missing the cut, finishing 14th overall. Rather than stepping back, he kept training, and in June 2025 he was revealed as one of the contestants on “Boys II Planet,” Mnet’s sequel to the massively popular Boys Planet franchise. Fans quickly took notice of his striking visuals, clean rap delivery, and warm main-vocal tone, and by the show’s grand finale on September 25, 2025, Anxin had climbed all the way to 2nd place, securing his spot as a founding member of ALPHA DRIVE ONE.

Debut with ALPHA DRIVE ONE

After officially adopting the stage name Anxin in October 2025, he pre-released the single “Formula” with the group in December 2025 before officially debuting on January 12, 2026, with ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s first mini album, “Euphoria.” The title track “Freak Alarm” turned into an instant phenomenon, and ALD1 became the first boy group in nine years to sweep all three major Korean broadcast music shows with a debut single, a feat last achieved by Wanna One. Within the group, Anxin is recognized as one of the main vocalists and is also known for his rap skills — he can rap fluently across three languages, a specialty he showcased throughout his time on Boys II Planet.

Personality and Fan Appeal

Off stage, Anxin is affectionately nicknamed “Little Xin Pigeon” by fans, thanks to his soft-spoken charm and expressive, dimpled smile. He is often seen wearing earphones, describing music as his personal comfort zone, and he lists basketball and singing among his favorite hobbies. Anxin cites EXO and ENHYPEN’s Ni-ki as his role models, and he has become known among ALLYZ (ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s official fandom) as one of the group’s most photogenic members, having been chosen as one of six “Visual Posters” before Boys II Planet even aired.
