Jaemin

Jaemin, born Na Jae-min on August 13, 2000, is the lead dancer, lead rapper, and visual of NCT Dream, the youth-driven sub-unit of the South Korean powerhouse group NCT. Born in Busan and raised largely in Jeonju and Seoul, Jaemin was street-cast by SM Entertainment staff while doing volunteer work as a teenager.

After three years of training, Jaemin debuted with NCT Dream on August 24, 2016, alongside the group’s digital single “Chewing Gum.” Early in his career, he paused promotions to recover from a herniated disc injury, but returned with renewed focus, eventually becoming known as the group’s charismatic center and one of its most complete performers.

Jaemin is celebrated for his flawless dance lines, magnetic stage presence, and warm, caring personality off-camera — earning him affectionate nicknames like “Fanboy Prince” among NCTzens for how attentively he engages with fans. Alongside his idol work, he has also branched into acting, taking on roles in Korean dramas and expanding his creative range beyond music.

Through NCT Dream’s biggest eras — including We Young, Hot Sauce, Glitch Mode, ISTJ, and Beatbox — Jaemin has helped push the sub-unit from a rotating “graduation” concept into one of K-pop’s most consistently chart-topping fixed groups. He also represents the full NCT lineup through project albums like NCT 2018 Empathy and NCT 2023 Golden Age, continuing to grow as both a performer and an all-around entertainer.
