Yeonjun (TXT): The 4th-Generation It Boy Leading Tomorrow X Together

Yeonjun is the oldest member of the K-pop boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT), and honestly, he’s the kind of performer who makes it hard to look away. Born Choi Yeon-jun on September 13, 1999, in Seoul, he grew up mostly in Seongnam before spending two childhood years in the United States picking up fluent English. That mix of backgrounds shows up in how he carries himself today: equal parts K-pop idol, dancer, rapper, and increasingly, international fashion icon.

Before TXT even existed, Yeonjun was already turning heads. He trained under BigHit Music for four years, and during that stretch he consistently ranked first in dance, vocal, and rap evaluations, earning him the nickname “BigHit’s legendary trainee.” He’d also briefly trained at Cube Entertainment and even appeared as a background dancer at the 2014 Melon Music Awards, long before anyone knew his name. When BigHit announced its new boy group in January 2019, Yeonjun was the very first member revealed to the world.

Debut and Rise with TXT

TXT debuted on March 4, 2019, with the mini album The Dream Chapter: STAR, and Yeonjun quickly became known as one of the group’s most dynamic performers. Fans often call him the “fake maknae” thanks to his playful, youthful energy, even though he’s actually the group’s eldest member. Over the years he’s stepped comfortably into broadcasting too, hosting Inkigayo from 2022 to 2024 and later co-hosting the year-end SBS Gayo Daejeon festival multiple times running.

Fashion, Acting, and Going Solo

Yeonjun’s influence stretches well beyond music. He’s modeled at New York Fashion Week, become a global brand ambassador for Moncler, and in 2026 he walked the runway for Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week before being named a Friend of the House. Multiple fashion outlets now call him “K-pop’s 4th Generation It Boy.” He made his acting debut with a cameo in the JTBC drama Live On, and he’s featured on collaborations with artists including Enhypen, Alan Walker, and Salem Ilese.

In September 2024, Yeonjun officially debuted as a soloist with the hip-hop track “Ggum,” which won him his first solo music-show trophy within weeks. He followed that up with his first solo EP, No Labels: Part 01, released November 7, 2025. Beyond music, he’s also shown a generous side, donating 50 million won to South Korea’s Hallym Burn Foundation to support firefighters.

Whether he’s leading a stage as TXT’s main dancer, fronting a solo mixtape, or walking a European runway, Yeonjun keeps proving why MOA and casual K-pop fans alike keep watching his every move.
