1TEAM (원팀) is a five-member South Korean K-pop boy group that debuted on March 27, 2019 under Liveworks Company, with their debut mini album HELLO! and lead single "Vibe (습관적 Vibe)." Members BC and Rubin had prior industry experience through the survival shows BOYS24 and MIXNINE before finding their footing in 1TEAM.

Biography & History

1TEAM (원팀) started long before their debut. In late 2018, Liveworks Company teased their upcoming boy group under the pre-debut name TEAM LWZ, releasing profile images and interview videos for five members: Rubin, BC, Jinwoo, Jehyun, and Junghoon.

Two of the members – BC and Rubin – came in with serious pre-debut experience. BC had been part of a short-lived group called I-REX and appeared on the survival show BOYS24, later competing on YG Entertainment’s MIXNINE. Rubin followed a similar path: he competed on BOYS24, made it into MIXNINE’s top 9, and was on the verge of debuting under YG – but that opportunity fell through when the project was scrapped due to contract disagreements. Their road to debut was tough, but that resilience became one of the defining traits of 1TEAM.

On March 4, 2019, Liveworks officially announced the group would debut as 1TEAM on March 27. Individual concept photos rolled out from March 14 to 18, and the world got its first real look at these five talented young men. On March 27, 2019, 1TEAM officially debuted with the release of their first mini album HELLO! and the music video for “Vibe (습관적 Vibe),” performing their debut showcase at K-Art Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

Just a few months later, in July 2019, the group made their first comeback with the second mini album JUST, led by the groovy title track “Rolling Rolling (롤링롤링).” By this point, they had already announced their official fandom name – TEAM ONE (팀원) – celebrating the bond between the group and their fans. Their third mini album ONE followed in November 2019, powered by “Make This,” one of their most acclaimed tracks, choreographed by the same director behind moves for GOT7, NU’EST, and ASTRO.

In January 2020, MyMusicTaste announced 1TEAM’s first US tour: Hello! Just One. The tour was set for five cities – Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles – but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the final two stops. Despite this, the fact that a relatively new K-pop group was already drawing fans across America spoke volumes about their appeal.

In August 2020, the group launched a digital single project, with the first release “Ullaeli Kkollaeli (얼레리꼴레리)” – a cheerful, fan-inspired track composed by BC. It would ultimately be one of their last releases as a group.

On March 10, 2021, Liveworks Company made the heartbreaking announcement: 1TEAM’s official group activities would come to an end on March 14, 2021, with all members’ exclusive contracts terminated. The group’s official social media channels and FANSHIP platform closed on March 31, 2021.

After disbanding, the members went their separate ways. Jinwoo and Jehyun debuted together in the 11-member group OMEGA X (under Jinwoo’s new stage name Xen) on June 30, 2021. Rubin stepped into the tattoo industry under the artist name Colin Tattoo, later releasing a solo single “Foolproof” in December 2024. Junghoon became a certified fitness trainer. BC kept a lower profile, though fans continue to follow his journey.

Fan Club & Light Stick

Everything that makes 1TEAM's fandom unique — from their name to their official light stick.

Fandom Name
TEAM ONE (팀원)

TEAM ONE is the official fandom name for supporters of 1TEAM, announced by the group and Liveworks Company in mid-2019, shortly after their debut. The name is a clever play on words - "TEAM ONE" mirrors the group's name "1TEAM," but reverses it, symbolizing the idea that the fans (TEAM) and the artists are truly equal partners and one unified force. In Korean, the fandom name is written as 팀원 (Timwon), which literally translates to "team member" - meaning every fan isn't just a supporter but a genuine member of 1TEAM's extended family. It's one of the most meaningful fandom names in K-pop because it dissolves the line between performer and audience, turning every concert into a shared experience between equals.
