Beomgyu (TXT): The Free-Spirited Visual of Tomorrow X Together

Beomgyu brings warmth, mischief, and a genuine musician’s heart to Tomorrow X Together (TXT). Born Choi Beom-gyu on March 13, 2001, in Daegu, South Korea, he was the very last TXT member revealed before the group’s debut, introduced to fans on January 20, 2019. That “last but not least” reveal fits him well — Beomgyu has a way of standing out, whether through his confirmed Visual title, his guitar skills, or his easy sense of humor.

Beomgyu trained under BigHit Music for three years before TXT’s March 4, 2019 debut with The Dream Chapter: STAR. He graduated from Hanlim Multi-Arts High School’s Practical Dance department, and along the way he picked up a habit that’s become part of his identity: writing and playing music on his own guitar. Members have described him staying up late working on songs, and today Beomgyu keeps his own home studio where he continues contributing as a songwriter on TXT’s B-side tracks.

Personality and Fan Favorite Moments

Ask any MOA and they’ll tell you Beomgyu is the group’s natural mood maker. He calls himself a tiger, since the Chinese character “beom” in his name literally means tiger, and he still carries a bit of his hometown’s Daegu satoori accent when he talks. He’s also famously good at claw machine games, talks in his sleep according to his members, and counts Stray Kids’ I.N, Enhypen’s Heeseung, and JUST B’s Lim Jimin among his closest friends in K-pop, in a group they’ve nicknamed “E-Z.”

Growth, Honesty, and Continued Promotions

In 2023, Beomgyu took a temporary step back from some group activities to focus on his personal health, an honest and widely respected decision that he later returned from to rejoin TXT’s promotions. Since then, he’s continued performing and writing music through TXT’s minisode 3: TOMORROW, The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, and The Star Chapter: TOGETHER album eras, proving his commitment to both his craft and his own wellbeing.

With his guitar, his warmth, and his honesty about taking care of himself, Beomgyu continues to be one of the most relatable and beloved members of TXT.
