UNIS’s Elisia: The Philippines’ Rising Main Vocalist Making K-Pop History

Elisia, born Elisia Lyrisse C. Parmisano on April 18, 2009, in Bataan, Philippines, is the main vocalist of the groundbreaking K-pop girl group UNIS. As one of two Filipino members in the eight-member lineup, Elisia holds a special place in K-pop history — UNIS is recognized as the first K-pop group to feature a Filipino line, and Elisia’s powerhouse vocals have been central to that milestone.

Long before joining Universe Ticket, Elisia was already building a career in entertainment back home. She started acting around age 6, appearing in commercials including a memorable Jollibee ad, and trained under both Starship Entertainment and Star Magic, gaining valuable experience in front of the camera. That foundation clearly paid off: when she competed on SBS’s global survival show Universe Ticket, Elisia claimed 1st place overall, earning the show’s top prize, the Prism Ticket.

On March 27, 2024, Elisia officially debuted with UNIS under F&F Entertainment, lending her powerful main vocals to the group’s title track “Super Woman” from their first EP “We Unis.” She was recognized as an Idol Rookie of the Month just one month into her career, and later that year, alongside fellow member Gehlee, she was named an IDOKI Hope Delivery Ambassador for the pair’s charitable work supporting underprivileged children.

Since debuting, Elisia has been a driving vocal force in every UNIS comeback, from “CURIOUS” to “SWICY” and the group’s Japanese market debut with “MoshiMoshi♡.” Her ability to carry emotional, high-note-heavy sections has made her one of the most talked-about vocalists among UNIS’s rookie generation.

Outside of music, Elisia holds a blue belt in taekwondo, speaks both English and Tagalog fluently, and is famously devoted to her Maltese dog, Snow. Her family even runs their own café, Little Seoul Cafe, back in the Philippines. With role models ranging from TWICE to BLACKPINK’s Lisa and NewJeans’ Hanni, Elisia continues to grow as both a singer and a cultural bridge between the Philippines and Korea’s booming K-pop industry.
