LNGSHOT

LNGSHOT (stylized as LNGSHOT, Korean: 롱샷) is a four-member South Korean boy group under MORE VISION, the record label founded by American rapper and hip-hop pioneer Jay Park. Announced in September 2025 and officially debuted on January 13, 2026 with the EP SHOT CALLERS, LNGSHOT is billed as the first idol group personally assembled and produced by Jay Park, built around members who share his creative mindset and a raw, self-producing sensibility rooted in hip-hop and R&B.

The group consists of Ohyul (leader, lead vocalist), Ryul (main rapper), Woojin (composer, main dancer) and Louis (main vocalist, maknae). Ahead of their official debut, the group built anticipation with the pre-debut mixtape 4SHOBOIZ MIXTAPE (November 2025) and the single “Saucin'” (December 2025), both of which generated significant buzz for their unpolished, process-driven approach that broke from typical K-pop debut formulas.

LNGSHOT’s debut single “Moonwalkin'” and EP SHOT CALLERS drew praise from outlets including The Korea Times and The Korea Herald for presenting an identity “grounded in talent” rather than leaning on genre orthodoxy, with the group’s hip-hop-based sound and unorthodox member dynamics cited as defying prevailing K-pop trends. The group achieved rapid streaming milestones, including over 5 million monthly Spotify listeners within three weeks of debut and 100 million cumulative streams within 38 days — among the fastest such achievements by a K-pop male idol act. LNGSHOT was named Billboard Korea’s Rookie of the Month for February 2026 and followed their debut with the EP Training Day in March 2026, composed of songs written during their trainee years.

The group’s official fandom is called SHOTTIE, and their name is short for “long shot” — representing the idea of an underdog defying the odds to succeed.
