Ohyul is the leader of LNGSHOT, the four-member South Korean boy group that debuted under MORE VISION, the record label founded by American rapper Jay Park. Born Kwon Oh Yul on January 21, 2006, in Gimpo, South Korea, Ohyul spent years training before he ever stepped on a debut stage — and that patience shows in the grounded, dependable energy he brings to the group.

Early Life and Trainee Days

Before joining MORE VISION, Ohyul trained under KOZ Entertainment, where he became close friends with BOYNEXTDOOR’s Woonhak — the two were classmates who trained side by side. Ohyul debuted as LNGSHOT’s leader on January 13, 2026, when the group released its first EP, SHOT CALLERS, led by the single “Moonwalkin’.” That moment came after a careful rollout: the pre-debut mixtape 4SHOBOIZ MIXTAPE in November 2025, followed by the digital single “Saucin'” in December. As leader, Ohyul plays a key role in holding the group together as they’ve expanded their catalog with the EP Training Day and the collaborative mixtape 4shoboiz Vol. 2: 4shoville alongside Jay Park himself.

Outside of music, Ohyul is genuinely skilled at sports stacking, having once competed for a spot on the national team, and he can solve a Rubik’s cube in remarkably fast time. He’s also a credited songwriter, having co-written Jay Park’s track “Remedy” together with groupmate Louis — proof that his creative input extends beyond performing.
