Who Is Mingi From ATEEZ?

Mingi, born Song Min-gi on August 9, 1999, is a South Korean rapper, dancer and vocalist who serves as ATEEZ’s main rapper and main dancer under KQ Entertainment. Standing as one of the tallest members of the group, Mingi is known for his deep rap tone, commanding stage presence and warm, humorous personality that fans have grown to love throughout his journey with the group.

Early Life And Trainee Days

Before debuting, Mingi appeared on the reality survival show MIXNINE, where he was eliminated after ranking 113th, an early setback that preceded his eventual debut with ATEEZ. He and fellow member Yunho were both accepted into the same dance academy network in different locations before either had met, and the two later discovered they had auditioned for KQ Entertainment independently, meeting properly for the first time at the audition itself.
