Biography

Siwon, born Choi Si-won on April 7, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea, is a singer, actor, and model best known as the visual and sub-vocalist of the K-pop boy group Super Junior. He was scouted by SM Entertainment at age 16 and debuted with the group’s original twelve-member line-up, Super Junior 05, on November 6, 2005.

Beyond Super Junior, Siwon is also a member of the Mandopop sub-unit Super Junior-M and, since 2023, the trio Super Junior-L.S.S. alongside Leeteuk and Shindong. He has built a substantial acting career in Korean dramas such as Oh! My Lady, Athena: Goddess of War, Poseidon, She Was Pretty, My Fellow Citizens!, and Bloodhounds, as well as Chinese-language films including Dragon Blade and Helios.

Siwon completed his mandatory military service as a conscripted policeman from November 2015 to August 2017.
