Nien

Nien, born Hsu Nien-tzu, is a Taiwanese-Vietnamese singer, rapper, and dancer based in South Korea, and the thirteenth revealed member (S13) of the 24-member K-pop girl group tripleS under MODHAUS. Born on June 2, 2003, in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, Nien holds dual Taiwanese-Vietnamese citizenship, being Taiwanese through her father and Vietnamese through her mother, and speaks Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Korean.

Before joining tripleS, Nien was a trainee at FNC Entertainment and competed as a contestant on Mnet’s global girl-group survival show Girls Planet 999 in 2021, representing the C-Group before being eliminated in the show’s second elimination round. She joined MODHAUS in March 2022 and was officially unveiled as tripleS’s S13 on March 20, 2023 — becoming the first non-Japanese international member added to the group.

Nien made her performing debut on August 17, 2023, as part of tripleS’s sub-unit LOVElution, with the mini album MUHAN (ↀ) and its title track “Girls’ Capitalism.” She later joined the world tour Authentic, performing its North American leg, and went on to debut in the ballad-focused sub-unit Aria in January 2024 with the single “Door.” On May 8, 2024, she promoted as part of the full 24-member tripleS line-up with the group’s first studio album, ASSEMBLE24, and its lead single “Girls Never Die,” and later joined the dance-centered sub-unit Visionary Vision as well as the units Alphie and neptune.

Known for her high energy, powerful physicality, and standout dance breaks — earning her the nickname “Buff Nien” among fans — Nien is also a strong athlete, having won gold in the women’s 60m sprint at the 2025 Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC). Bright, extroverted, and quick to grow in her Korean-language skills since debut, Nien has become one of tripleS’s most dynamic performers, contributing vocals, rap, and dance across the group’s ever-rotating sub-unit system.
