Liz

Liz, born Kim Ji-won, is a South Korean singer serving as the main vocalist of the girl group IVE under Starship Entertainment. She was born on November 21, 2004, in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, on Jeju Island, and grew up there with her family before training in Seoul, which has earned her the nickname “Jeju fairy” among fans. Her stage name, Liz, was inspired by Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Before becoming a trainee, Liz appeared in the music video for Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon’s winter single “This Christmas” in 2017. She trained under Starship Entertainment for roughly two years before being revealed as the fourth member of IVE on November 5, 2021. The group officially debuted on December 1, 2021, with the single album Eleven, which shot to the top of South Korean charts and quickly established IVE as one of the standout rookie acts of its generation.

Recognized for her distinctive vocal tone and understated stage presence, Liz has become known as one of IVE’s key vocalists on releases such as “LOVE DIVE,” “After LIKE,” “I AM,” and “REBEL HEART.” Beyond her group work, she has lent her voice to several drama and animation soundtracks, including “Summer” for the Love Your Enemy OST (2024) and “Heavy Love” for the Heavenly Ever After OST (2025), and she participated in the 2023 collaborative single “Nobody” alongside members of aespa and (G)I-DLE in support of South Korea’s Expo 2030 bid.

Liz has also expanded into fashion and broadcasting, serving as a campaign face for brands including Olive Young, ZIGZAG, 8seconds, S.Nature, and, since 2026, as an ambassador for Valentino alongside fellow member Rei, while also taking on hosting duties as a special MC for MBC’s Show! Music Core in 2025.
