JiYeon is a South Korean idol and the twenty-fourth and final member revealed of tripleS, the 24-member, fan-participatory girl group under MODHAUS. Born Ji Seoyeon on February 13, 2004, she stepped into the spotlight on April 4, 2024, closing out tripleS’s landmark two-year pre-debut reveal project. As part of tripleS’s historic OT24 lineup, JiYeon made her official debut on May 8, 2024, with the studio album ASSEMBLE24 and its title track “Girls Never Die.”

Early Life and Training

Before joining MODHAUS, JiYeon spent years as a competitive ballerina, training at the Universal Ballet Academy and later the Flat9 Dance & Vocal Academy. She attended the prestigious Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School — alma maters shared by many K-pop idols — before enrolling at Hanyang University. In January 2024, just months before her reveal, she made a notable cameo as a ballerina in singer Sohyang’s music video for “BLESSING,” performing under the name Ji SeoYeon.

Stage Name and Debut Story

When Ji Suhyeon was revealed as tripleS’s final member, fans quickly noticed her birth name was pronounced almost identically to existing member Yoon SeoYeon’s. MODHAUS resolved the overlap through a fan-voted Stage Name Event Gravity, and “JiYeon” was chosen as her permanent stage name on April 7, 2024 — a fitting example of tripleS’s signature fan-driven decision-making system.

Sub-Units and Group Activities

JiYeon quickly became active across tripleS’s rotating sub-unit structure. She debuted as leader of Glow alongside Kim ChaeWon, Sullin, and SeoAh with the digital single “Inner Dance” in June 2024, then joined the twelve-member dance unit Visionary Vision for the studio album Performante that October. In 2025 she promoted tripleS’s second full-group album, ASSEMBLE25, toured with the English-language unit Alphie, and debuted in the newly formed sub-unit moon with the single “Cameo Love” from Beyond Beauty.

Known within tripleS as a lead dancer and sub-vocalist, JiYeon brings a ballet-trained elegance to the group’s choreography.
