Who Is YuBin of tripleS?

Gong Yu-bin, promoted under the stage name YuBin, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and model who serves as the Main Dancer of the 24-member MODHAUS girl group tripleS. Born on February 3, 2005, in Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, YuBin grew up dreaming of a career in entertainment long before she ever put on a stage outfit, and today she stands as one of the most versatile performers in tripleS’s rotating, fan-driven lineup.

Early Life and Trainee Years

YuBin’s very first brush with the camera came as a teenager, when she competed on TV Chosun’s junior cooking survival show “I Am Chef” between 2017 and 2018, finishing among the final top three. Long before debuting as an idol, she trained in acting at JYP Entertainment alongside fellow future tripleS member Lee Ji-woo, and later became a trainee at HYBE’s Source Music label. That winding path eventually led her to MODHAUS, where she was revealed as the eighth member of tripleS, S8, on September 9, 2022.

Debut and Sub-Unit Journey

YuBin’s official recording debut came on October 28, 2022, as part of tripleS’s very first sub-unit, Acid Angel from Asia, with the EP “ACCESS” and its title track “Generation.” She went on to debut with the full tripleS lineup on February 13, 2023, in the EP “ASSEMBLE,” and was later chosen by fans through the group’s Gravity voting system to join the sub-unit LOVElution, releasing “Girls’ Capitalism” in August 2023. She has since been part of ACID EYES, Visionary Vision, and Zenith, making her one of the busiest members across tripleS’s ever-shifting “dimensions.”

Fans, known as WAV, often describe YuBin as warm, hardworking, and endlessly cheerful on stage. Her sharp, confident choreography has made her a standout performer during comebacks like “Girls Never Die” and “Hit the Floor,” while her easygoing personality and love of tteokbokki, strawberry lattes, and cozy winter days have made her a fan favorite off stage as well.
